The Dent de Crolles is an iconic summit of the Chartreuse, rising to 2,062 metres.
Well known for its hiking trails and climbing routes, it is also a true “Swiss cheese” of a mountain, riddled with nearly 60 kilometres of galleries, chambers and meanders.
There are a dozen entrances to the underground system, allowing for many different itineraries and offering a wide range of lengths and difficulties. This network is a dream for cavers from all over the world.
It is a fantastic adventure to explore the heart of this mountain, entering via the famous Trou du Glaz. The exit can be chosen through the Annette Cave, at the base of the massive cliff overlooking the Plateau des Petites Roches, or via the Guiers Mort resurgence, near Saint-Pierre de Chartreuse.
