Mont Aiguille, an iconic mountain among icons. This majestic limestone fortress offers a spectacular vantage point over the cliffs of the Vercors. Long considered impossible to climb, its first ascent in 1492 is regarded as the birth of alpinism.
Reaching the summit is an unforgettable moment, matched only by the breathtaking 360° panorama that awaits you at the top. After around one hour of approach along a well-maintained trail winding through forest and wildflowers, the 200-metre ascent begins. The route follows a clever line with no major technical difficulties. Fixed cables help you through the more exposed sections. A final chimney leads onto the vast summit plateau.
